Mary
God sent an
Angel called Gabriel to tell Mary that God loved
her and not to be afraid, Because God had shown
Mary his grace and was going to give her a baby.
She was to call him Jesus and he would be God's
son. Mary although initially puzzled how this was
going to happen, Mary was Faithful to God and
said that she would do whatever God wanted.
Saying "I am the
servant of the Lord. Let this happen to me as you
say!"

Joseph
Joseph and
Mary were already engaged to be married, when
Mary learned she was to have a baby by the power
of the Holy Spirit. Joseph was a good man and
although he was upset he did not want to disgrace
her in public, and decided to seperate quietly. Until an Angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in
a dream and explained that he was to marry Mary, and name the baby Jesus, (Immanuel,
"God is with us" ) Because he will save
his people from their sins.

When Jesus was about 12,
he went with Joseph and Mary to the temple in
Jerusalem. When it was time to go Jesus stayed in
the temple, listening to the teachers and asking
them questions. People were amazed at his
understanding and answers. When Mary and Joseph
discovered their son was missing they looked
everywhere. When they found him in the temple
they asked "Why did you do this to us? Your
Father and I were worried about you, and have
been looking for you!"
Jesus said to them
"Why were you looking for me? Didn't you
know that I must be in my Fathers house!"

John's faith
and commitment to God was awesome. John wore
clothes made from camels hair and a belt. He
lived in the desert and ate locusts and wild
honey, spending all his time worshiping God. He
told everyone about God and a special man who
would come soon, Saying "Do
the things that show you have really changed your
hearts and lives" He baptized people
in the Jordan River. Jesus came one day and John baptized Him.

Jesus went
into the desert and was tempted by the Devil.
First, to make bread to eat. Second, to throw
himself off a cliff and be ok. Third, to own all
the countries of the world. Jesus wasn't a
physically strong man and his trial in the desert
must have been tremendous but he was not tempted
replying "Do not test
the Lord your God" and told the Devil
to go away. saying "You
must worship the Lord your God and serve only
him"

Andrew
When Jesus was
walking beside the Sea of Galilee he saw Peter
and his brother Andrew fishing. He said "Come follow me, and I will
make you fishers of men." So they
immediately left their nets, to follow Jesus.
Andrew was a physically strong man and had a good livelihood in fishing, But he still choose to
give it all up and follow Jesus. But what he
gained was a friend like Jesus, What a prize!.
They were the first disciples. In all Jesus
chose twelve disciples.

Bartimaeus
There was a
blind man named Bartimaeus. When he heard Jesus
coming he shouted "Jesus, Have pity on
me!" Many people in the crowd told the Blind
man to be quiet and not to bother Jesus, But again
Bartimaeus shouted "Jesus son of David, have
mercy on me"
Jesus stopped and asked him what he wanted.
"I want to see." Bartimaeus replied.
Jesus said "You
shall have what you asked for because you
believed." and Bartimaeus could see.

Jesus taught many things.
He said that if you ask God, you will receive. If
you seek God, you will find Him. If you knock on
the door to heaven, He will open the door and let
you in. All this because He loves you. The illustration of God being behind a door, always
in, always ready to answer your call but no handle
(God can't come to you without some action on
your part) on the door. The only way to meet with
God is if you make the effort to Knock, and Ask
God does not score a
perfect 20 on bibliocard08 because he is not
popular with everyone, mores the pity

Zacchaeus
A small man
named Zacchaeus was a rich Tax collector and
considered to be a money grabbing swindler by
most of the people. He like most people was
curious to see what this man Jesus was like, and
so when he heard Jesus was coming to his town he
climbed a tree to see Jesus. Jesus looked up and
asked Zacchaeus if he could stay at his house. On
hearing this the people in the crowd complained
that Jesus was staying with a sinner. After he
had talked to Jesus, Zacchaeus ended up giving
half of all he had to the poor, and much more." Salvation has come to this
house because this man also belongs to the family
of Abraham"

Lazarus
Martha and
Mary, Lazarus's sisters sent a message to ask
Jesus to make Lazarus better. on hearing the news
of his friends illness, Jesus replied "Death
will not be the end for Lazarus. This illness is
going to bring Glory and to his Son" When
Jesus arrived Lazarus had already died. Martha
rushed to meet Jesus and said "I'm sure
Lazarus would not have died if you had been here.
"I am resurrection and life. The person who believes in me will live again. Do you believe
that ?. "I believe you are Gods Son the
promised Messiah !" Martha replied. Jesus
went to the tomb where Lazarus had been put and
called out to him to come out. Lazarus came out
alive and well. The crowd began to say that Jesus
must be the Messiah.

Jesus arrived
at the temple in Jerusalem and was angry at what
he saw. The poor were being cheated by traders
who had turned God's house into a dishonest
market. He turned over the traders tables and
cleared the temple so that all could pray and
worship God.

In
Jerusalem, Jesus and his disciples shared in his
last meal. "This bread stands for my body,
given for you all" said Jesus. With a cup of
wine in his hands he said. "This wine stands
for my blood, which is the
seal of God's new promise to you."
Soon, not many days later, they would understand
better what he meant. Jesus was not going to be a
murder victim, put to death because of a
betrayal. His death would be part of God's great
plan to save mankind.

Skull Place. They nailed Jesus to the cross. He

One of Jesus's
Disciples and friend who had real trouble coming
to terms with the fact Jesus had Risen from the
dead. Thomas's doubts were settled when Jesus
appeared to the disciples and invited Thomas to
place his fingers in the wounds made by the
nails. Thomas instantly knew that this was Jesus,
saying "My Lord and my God"

believe because you see me. Those who believe
without seeing me will be truly happy."
